Title: PHOEBE Solver V2.0—A Free Software for Numerical Solutions of PDEs
Abstract:
We introduce the new developed mathematical software named PHOEBE Solver, which can help users effectively and conveniently solve various partial differential equations (PDEs) with various parameters or variables by using algorithms having appeared in the literature. PHOEBE Solver V2.0 comprises more than 40 PDEs and more than 200 algorithms developed by more than 100 authors. Finite difference, finite element, finite volume, meshfree methods etc., and Fortran, C/C++, Matlab computer languages are used in this software. It is very helpful for those people who have developed a new algorithm to make some comparisons with other algorithms in the literature. The motivations for us to develop this software, functions and distinguishing features of this software are also introduced.
